01The Client

Mobileye's home at CES

Mobileye builds the computer vision behind assisted and autonomous driving, deployed in more than 230 million vehicles and running in 23 of the 25 largest car brands. Ruckus has designed and produced every Mobileye CES presence since 2016, the exhibit itself and the press events staged around it.

02The Challenge

An invisible chip, on a floor built for spectacle

Mobileye sells a chip inside cars, invisible to the driver, in a category that is dense and technical, sold to automakers rather than consumers. A trade show floor rewards the opposite of all that, and the brief was to make the technology innovative, dynamic, and digestible on sight for a skeptical audience.

03The Work

From render to reality, every January

Every Mobileye booth exists twice, first as a rendering argued over months earlier, then as a built structure in Las Vegas. The 2017 booth alone went through five full concept presentations between February and October, each one a complete design under a full drawing set of wireframes and floor plans.

CES 2024's main stage centered a 52 by 20 foot angled LED wall with scheduled presentations against a countdown clock, surrounded by a spherical LED globe, touchscreen kiosks, and an X-ray clear glass LED screen. Two press conferences ran from a custom room built around a 40 foot LED wall, livestreamed to the show floor so news reached both audiences at once.

04The Results

Seventh at the show, and two awards

The CES 2025 exhibit ranked seventh out of roughly 4,300 exhibits in EXHIBITOR Magazine's Best of CES, and took Bronze at the Best of Show Stand Awards, with Ruckus credited on design and fabrication for both. A preliminary judging panel had already placed it in the top thirty of everything at the show, alongside Samsung, Sony, Honda, and Waymo.
