Inside Build Beyond: Producing VAST Data's Biggest Launch Moments
Ruckus as studio production partner to the $30B AI-infrastructure platform, directing, shooting, and finishing the broadcast and film content behind Build Beyond and Cosmos on Demand.
When VAST Data stages a launch, there is no second take. The AI operating system company, valued at $30 billion in its latest financing and trusted by names like xAI, CoreWeave, NVIDIA, Pixar, Zoom, and ServiceNow, announces its biggest moves in broadcast-grade productions streamed to the industry. Ruckus is the studio production partner behind them: 18 finished films in the partnership's first year, and counting.
A launch broadcast, built like television
The partnership began with VAST's flagship launch broadcast, produced end to end by Ruckus at Vu Studios in Nashville: studio procurement, full crew, a three-camera 4K UHD shoot, and complete post-production. The result was a 60-minute presentation with a cinematic open and dedicated executive segments, launch television for a company whose announcements move an industry. The partnership continued straight into a second flagship production, Build Beyond 2.0.
Cosmos on Demand
For the Cosmos on Demand launch, the assignment spread across the map. Ruckus filmed VAST's chief executive alongside leaders from Pixar, Zoom, NVIDIA, the Allen Institute, CoreWeave, and more, coordinating studios and executive calendars across the Bay Area, Las Vegas, and Montreal so that every film landed for a single launch moment. The slate ranged from launch films and explainers to customer stories and a fireside conversation between VAST founder Renen Hallak and MIT physicist Max Tegmark.
Those films are still working. The Cosmos on Demand library streams on VAST's site today, and the trailer now plays on the Ruckus channel.
Why deep tech needs a studio
VAST's technology runs deep: exabyte-scale infrastructure and unified data layers that are notoriously hard to put on camera without losing the room. The answer is not another talking-head webinar. It is broadcast credibility, real direction, real cinematography, and finishing that treats a platform launch like the television event it actually is. That is the gap Ruckus fills as a studio production partner, and the reason the engine keeps compounding.
The full engagement, including the films themselves, is documented in the VAST Data case study in our work library.
