SSP
A brand that lives in airports
SSP America is the North American arm of SSP Group, the global food travel operator. Since 2006 its restaurants have lived inside airport terminals across the US, Canada, and Brazil, bringing a region's real culinary scene airside, from beloved local institutions to iconic national names.
In 2023, SSP America engaged Ruckus to design and build its digital home: a website that leads with the airport, carries the brand's warmth online, works across regions, and doubles as a recruiting engine for teams at dozens of airports.

Growing fast, needing a home to match
The North American business needed a dedicated web presence, distinct from the global SSP Group site yet unmistakably part of the same family. In a tight labor market, the site also had to attract and convert talent across dozens of airports, while engineering in multi-region content, ADA accessibility, and region-specific compliance from the first line of code.

Discovery, design, build, launch, evolve
Ruckus mapped the site's goals through MVP workshops, user stories, and a locked sitemap, then designed a visual system as warm as the restaurants and as alive as the concourse outside them, styled around SSP's own airside photography of real team members, real dining rooms, and real food.
The platform was built on a WordPress CMS the SSP team could own, engineered to ADA standards and region-specific compliance, and QA'd on staging before a mutually planned go-live, with content migrated cleanly and nothing broken on the way to launch day.
Turning passengers into applicants
The careers experience includes an AI recruiting assistant, an airport locations map, and three recruiting tracks live on the site today: You Belong Here for restaurant roles, Let's Grow Together for airport managers, and Unlimited Growth Potential for the support center team.
Launched, then kept sharp
Ruckus stayed on as SSP America's ongoing web partner: ongoing speed and performance optimization, security updates and daily backups, accessibility and region-specific compliance as requirements evolve, and content and CMS support so the team can run and grow the site across its expanding airport footprint.
