01The Client

Home of the best tasting patties

Golden Krust is a family story that began with a bakery in St. Andrew, Jamaica, and reopened in the Bronx in 1989. Today it's a Caribbean staple with restaurants nationwide and patties on grocery shelves across the country. Ruckus was hired to give a 30-year institution a digital home as warm and authentic as the food.

02The Challenge

A brand that couldn't keep pace

The old site had flat photography, no way to order, and a layout that buried everything that made Golden Krust special behind too many clicks. Ruckus had to convey the brand's heritage fast, segment restaurant and grocery shoppers, and build a clean, mobile-first platform the team could grow.

03The Work

Every scroll, a little more Caribbean

Ruckus wove Jamaican color, pattern and texture through every section, led with a brush-script headline, and built a hand-drawn illustration set carrying from the web into packaging. A store locator, rebuilt retail pages and clearer paths to order online followed, along with a redesigned menu family and production-ready packaging across six patty varieties.

04The Outcome

An award winner, and a partnership that keeps growing

The website design was recognized with a Silver at the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards, and the partnership has grown across three engagement chapters: website, commerce and collateral, one unmistakable Caribbean design language spanning web, retail and print, and still growing today.
