01The Client

Fueled by death

Death Wish Coffee Co. built a cult following out of Saratoga Springs, New York by roasting the World's Strongest Coffee, putting a skull and crossbones on the mug and winning a Super Bowl 50 spot through Intuit's Small Business Big Game competition.

02The Assignment

Put the world's strongest coffee in a can

Ruckus first signed on in 2020 to rebuild the Death Wish e-commerce platform. Then came the bigger swing: launching the brand's ready-to-drink latte to retail and DTC audiences, translating its dark, irreverent voice into film without losing the joke.

03The Work

A latte so good

Ruckus scripted four spots built around the campaign line "a latte so good," each following a person at the end of their rope. Kid's Party, cast, shot, and finished by the Ruckus studio, delivered broadcast-ready :60 and :30 cuts for TV, streaming, and pre-roll.

The campaign line carried into a full display suite, out-of-home placements at cooler doors and bodega windows chosen from the brand's own Shopify session data, and the #LatteSoGood social giveaway.

04The Outcome

One build became a partnership

The World's Strongest Latte reached store shelves in 2021 backed by a launch toolkit that ran from film to cooler door. What started as a platform build grew into a launch campaign, a produced film, and a 12-month support extension.
