CHAMA MAMA
A taste of Georgia, built to last
Chama Mama is a Georgian restaurant group in New York serving classic Georgian cuisine with a modern spin across its Chelsea and Upper West Side dining rooms, built on three pillars: the Tone clay oven, khachapuri bread, and Qvevri wines.
With new locations and franchise ambitions ahead, Chama Mama came to Ruckus to define and refine an identity that could scale without losing its accent.

One voice, many rooms
Every location, designer, and touchpoint needed to look and sound like the same Chama Mama, so the brand communicated its values before a single word was read. The work also had to honor an ancient culture, from the Mkhedruli alphabet to the Supra feast, and carry it forward rather than flatten it.
A library drawn by hand
Ruckus opened with a brand workshop to capture Chama Mama's history, values, and rituals, then built a wordmark echoing Mkhedruli script, a palette drawn from the table and terrain, and an illustration system spanning khinkali, chonguri, and the Supra feast.
The system carried through menus, packaging, and merchandise, and into a master brand guide covering logo construction, color, typography, illustration, and photography, so any designer in any location could create as Chama Mama.
A brand built to travel
Ruckus delivered a complete identity system, logo, color, type, illustration, and photography, unified in one guide, along with a voice and campaign slogans so every room speaks with the same Georgian accent as Chama Mama opens its next doors.
