01The Client

A family story, built to scale

Two Good Sons began with a son helping his mother regain her health through better food. Born from American Farmers Network, the family behind 100% grass-fed, Certified Humane beef, the new consumer brand was built to carry that commitment to families everywhere. Ruckus built it from the story up: strategy, positioning, voice, tagline, packaging, and a website.

02The Challenge

A crowded, skeptical aisle

The premium meat aisle already had entrenched competitors with years of head start and shelf recall. Consumers doubt grass-fed claims after years of marketing spin, so authenticity had to be proven, not asserted. AFN had the supply chain and the certifications; what it lacked was a consumer brand with a reason to believe.

03The Work

From story to shelf

Ruckus defined the mission, vision, and four pillars rooted in family, then narrowed nine tagline concepts to one: Real Food. Real Values. Packaging and label design carried that story into the retail cold case, backed by an original food photography shoot styled around real family meals.

Ruckus also designed the full e-commerce experience: a homepage opening on Good Starts at Home, a storefront organized by Boneless, Bone-In, and Shop by Grade, and the navigation and component system behind them, finished in design and ready for launch. The site never went live. The company closed before it could ship.

04The Outcome

A brand that was ready

A supply chain became a story, and a story became a complete brand system: a sub-brand strategy that turns the family ranch network into a consumer-facing name, a tagline built for the long run, and a website built and waiting for a launch that never came.
